Project Rustang
This heaping pile of rust is the quintessential rotted out rust belt 65 Mustang Fastback. It's obviously in the shop for some, I mean alot of panel replacement. We have been contracted to replace the entire underneath of the car and everything from the firewall forward including the firewall, cowl, etc. Check back for more pics of our progress.
January 3, 2011 Update:
The car is in it's disassembly stage where even more rust has reaped it's ugly head. The customer has also decided to go with a all modern front coil over suspension with rack and pinion steering. For a driver car I think that was a wise choice. I 'll be back with more pics once we start putting it back together.
January 4, 2011 Update:
Added more pics of the problems we are running into. Major A and B pillar problems. I also added pics of the replacement parts purchased at Mustangs Unlimited.
February 22, 2011 Loade up a few more pics. I will have a much more detailed group within the next week. Getting really close to having the work complete for the customer.
